Apex Prestige Primer – The Perfect Base for Your Walls
Apex Prestige Primer is a water-based, silicone-enhanced wall primer built for Pakistani interior and exterior surfaces. The formulation seals porous walls, levels minor surface variation, and prepares concrete, plaster and drywall to take a strong, long-lasting topcoat. One coat reduces topcoat consumption on the next layer, which lowers the total cost of your paint job in real PKR terms.
Each pack is manufactured in Karachi under ISO and PSQCA certified processes. Three sizes are stocked for both small refurbishments and full project work: Quarter, Gallon and Drum. Free shipping is included on every order across Pakistan.

How to Apply Apex Prestige Primer
1. Inspect and repair the wall
Scrape off loose paint, fill cracks with Duva Wall Putty, sand smooth, and let repairs cure fully before priming.
2. Clean the surface.
Remove dust, grease and chalking with a stiff brush. Wipe with a clean damp cloth and let the wall dry. Do not apply over wet walls.
3. Stir the primer well
Open the pack and stir for at least 2 minutes with a clean stick or mechanical stirrer.
4. Thin if needed
Add up to 10% clean water for first coat on highly porous surfaces. Do not over-thin.
5. Apply the first coat
Use a roller for large flat areas, a brush for edges and corners, or an airless spray for project work. Keep a wet edge to avoid lap marks.
6. Allow recoat time.
typically 4 to 6 hours before the second coat or the topcoat.
7. Apply the topcoat
Once the primer is fully dry, apply your chosen Duva topcoat Apex Titan Plastic Emulsion for interiors, or Apex Horizon Weathershield for exteriors.
Why Apex Prestige Primer Is Built for Pakistani Walls
Built for humidity and monsoon conditions
Pakistani exterior and interior walls especially in Karachi, coastal Sindh and Punjab during monsoon deal with high humidity, occasional water seepage and salt efflorescence on plaster. The silicone-enhanced formula in Apex Prestige Primer reduces water absorption into the substrate, which extends the life of the topcoat and slows down peeling, flaking and bubbling.
Seals porous plaster and concrete
Fresh cement plaster and bare concrete are highly porous. Without a sealing primer, a topcoat soaks into the wall unevenly color comes out patchy and the paint film thins out. Prestige Primer fills surface pores, evens out absorbency, and lets the topcoat sit on the surface where it belongs.
Reduces topcoat consumption
A properly primed wall takes fewer coats of expensive emulsion or weathershield. On a typical 1,000 sq. ft. interior job, two coats of primer plus two coats of topcoat usually beat three coats of topcoat alone in finish quality and in rupees spent.
Low odour, safe for occupied homes
Water-based formulation means low VOC, low odour and water clean-up. Brushes and rollers wash with plain tap water. Rooms can be re-entered shortly after application, which matters for occupied flats and apartments in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad where the family is not moving out for the paint job.
Trust and Compliance
Apex Prestige Primer is manufactured under ISO certified quality processes and is approved by the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA). Both standards are publicly verifiable: ISO at iso.org and PSQCA at psqca.com.pk. Every pack carries the batch code on the lid so buyers can trace it back to a specific production run.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Apex Prestige Primer used for?
Apex Prestige Primer is a water-based wall primer used to seal porous walls before painting. It works on concrete, cement plaster, drywall and masonry, indoors and outdoors. The primer evens out surface absorbency, locks down chalking, and gives the topcoat a strong, uniform base so the final colour comes out clean and lasts longer.
What is the price of Apex Prestige Primer in Pakistan?
Apex Prestige Primer is available in three pack sizes. The Quarter is PKR 1,000, the Gallon is PKR 3,700, and the Drum is PKR 14,510. The Drum gives the lowest per-litre price and is the best value for contractors and full-house painting jobs. Free shipping is included across Pakistan.
Is Apex Prestige Primer water-based or oil-based?
Apex Prestige Primer is fully water-based and silicone-enhanced. That means low odour, low VOC, and water clean-up for brushes and rollers. You do not need turpentine or paint thinner. It is safe to apply in occupied homes and dries faster than traditional solvent-based primers used in Pakistan.
How much area does one gallon of primer cover?
One gallon of water-based wall primer typically covers around 350 to 400 square feet in a single coat on a smooth surface. Coverage drops on rough plaster, fresh concrete, or highly porous walls. For an exact figure on Apex Prestige Primer, check the technical data sheet on the product pack.
Can I use interior primer outside in Pakistan?
No. Interior primers are not formulated to handle direct sunlight, rain or temperature swings. For exterior walls in Pakistan, use an exterior-rated primer like Apex Prestige Primer along with a weathershield topcoat. Using interior primer outdoors leads to early flaking, especially during Karachi humidity and Punjab monsoons.
Do I need primer before painting a new wall?
Yes. Fresh cement plaster and new concrete are highly alkaline and very porous. Painting directly on a new wall causes patchy colour, fast topcoat consumption and early peeling. A coat of Apex Prestige Primer seals the surface, neutralises absorbency, and cuts down the number of expensive topcoat layers you need.
How long does primer take to dry?
Apex Prestige Primer is touch-dry within a short window and ready for recoat in roughly 4 to 6 hours at normal Pakistani room temperature. Full cure happens within 24 hours. Drying is slower in high humidity, during monsoon, or in poorly ventilated rooms. Always confirm dryness by light touch before topcoating.
Does Apex Prestige Primer expire?
Yes. Like all water-based paints, the primer has a shelf life. Sealed packs typically stay usable for around 24 months from the manufacture date printed on the lid. Once opened, use within a few weeks and keep the lid tightly closed. Discard the pack if it smells off or has separated permanently.
